MIPA recognizes outstanding senior journalists at its Spring Conference every year. We invite students to send in a portfolio of their work, and we choose a Student Journalist Staff. We also choose outstanding students in the areas of newspaper, yearbook, video and photography with the All-MIPA Award. In addition, we recognize an adviser by honoring him or her with the Golden Pen. MIPA member students are invited to nominate their advisers for this award. We also recognize supportive administrators, nominated by their schools, with the Administrator of the Year Award. We recognize individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to scholastic journalism with the John Field Award.
