Download this form if you wish to get your publication reevaluated. You have six months from the date of the Spring Conference for newspaper and video. Yearbooks have six months from the date they receive their evaluation back from the judge.

If you would like to appeal the opinion of the judge, then your publication will be sent out to a different judge for another evaluation. All of our Spartan entries are sent to out-of-state judges whom we pay to evaluate publications for us.

If you would like us to secure another judge, the fee is $45, payable by check, credit card or money order.

Before you decide to continue the appeals process, please make sure that you have read the judge’s comments carefully and given a second reading several days later to ensure an objective decision.

If you still want your publication reevaluated, please complete the form and send $45 along with it. Please be aware that it might take up to eight weeks for this process to be completed, depending on the availability of judges.

In addition, if you get a lower rating the second time, the higher rating will stand.
