SUMMARY:2024 MIPA Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:MIPA member advisers are invited to MIPA’s 2024 annual meeting\, which will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday\, April 20\, via Zoom. \n\n\n\nThe annual meeting\, which traditionally had taken place at the spring awards event\, is required by MIPA’s bylaws and state law. The main agenda item is to nominate candidates for MIPA’s Executive Board. Members may also get reports from officers and committee chairs. The spring awards event is not being held in person this year due to the ongoing pandemic and transportation and substitute teacher challenges facing our member schools. \n\n\n\nThree seats are open on MIPA’s board – first vice president and two trustees. The Officer Recruitment Committee is seeking interested candidates and will present its nominations for these seats. Additional nominations may be made from the floor during the meeting by any member adviser. \n\n\n\nVoting for MIPA’s board will take place via email during a 20-day period following the annual meeting. Member advisers will receive more information about all the candidates\, and a ballot via email for each MIPA member media program advised.
