Some of you many be hesitant because you don’t really know what we do at EdCamp\, so here’s a basic rundown:\nAs people arrive\, they write answers to five questions on chart paper around the room: \n\nWhat went well for you this year?\nWhat were your struggles this year?\nWhat questions do you have?\nWhat do you want to share about\, if anything?\nWhat do you want to do/discuss/accomplish today?\n\nThen\, we introduce ourselves and explain what we’d like to learn more about or identify specific questions we have. The conversation that follows is guided by the needs of the group and we try to help answer everyone’s questions in the remaining time. If we have enough people\, we can break into smaller groups (perhaps by publication type) so we get to everyone’s issues before time is up.\nBring a flash drive with your files and information to share with others!\nToward the end\, you’ll receive a signed professional development certificate to give to your school and you’ll be asked to fill out an Exit Ticket with four questions: \n\nWhat did you accomplish today?\nWhat did you think about today (strengths\, weaknesses\, suggestions for improvement)?\nWhat are your next steps?\nWhat can MIPA do to support you in those next steps?\n\nThat’s it! A limited number of small meeting rooms also are available by request for a fee.
