Meet award-winning advisers and professionals who will give you and your students all kinds of practical advice you can take home and use right away.
Video journalism students and teachers will have a full day of sessions just for them.
Getting ready to go online? Or already there and need some tips? You’ll have lots of sessions to help you get started or go to the next step.
For new yearbook and newspaper advisers: Four sessions for you on topics like grading, creating a staff manual, organization, finances plus lots of sessions presented by advisers in the field.
Staffs, sign up for a face-to-face critique of your yearbook or newspaper. Just tell us your school and what you want to have critiqued.
Yearbook companies will be on hand. Add to that all the other media sessions and you can be sure it’s going to be a great day for scholastic journalism in Michigan!
Speakers are still in the process of responding to us, but keep checking the website for the updated list. Register today by filling out the form and e-mailing it back. Download it, fill it out and click on the button to send it back. You can pay the day of the conference.
Cost for the day is $11 for students from MIPA member schools and $12 for students from non-MIPA member schools. Adviser fee is $25 and includes the adviser luncheon complete with doorprizes.
Students may eat lunch at local restaurants or they may bring a lunch.
