Get ready for Karl Gude.
Gude, graphics editor-in-residence at MSU’s School of Journalism, isn’t your average college professor. He’ll show you how at the 2012 MIPA Middle School Conference on Nov. 1.
Gude has been creating news graphics since the late ’70s and is one of the few visual journalists who has worked for newspapers, news magazines and wire services. Gude spent nearly a decade as the Director of Information Graphics at Newsweek magazine and also held that position at the The Associated Press and United Press International wire services. He also directed the graphics departments at two large daily newspapers, the New York Daily News and the short-lived National Sports Daily.
