When did you start at MIPA? I started in the fall 2015 of my junior year.

How did you hear about MIPA? I heard about the job at MIPA through my high school yearbook adviser, Jane Kostanko. She referred me to Jeremy and I applied. I also attended the fall conference in high school.

What has been the most challenging thing you have faced while working at MIPA? The most challenging thing when I started was handling the invoices and finances in addition to making sure I was inputting things correctly. I was always scared that I messed things up.

What do you like most about your job at MIPA? I like getting to work one-on-one with the members. In this case it would be the high school advisers and seeing how the work that goes into into the conferences and events pay off.

What is your favorite hobby outside of MIPA? My favorite hobby is listening to music and finding new music.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Justin Bieber, for sure.

Favorite food? My favorite thing to eat is tater tots and ketchup.

What are your thoughts on Remington? Remington used to distract me from work and eat all my paper, but now that he is a mature dog I have found a new bond with him. I miss him in the office and wish he could come back more often.

What has been your favorite thing about MSU? I love the number of people at MSU. I have met so many different people from Michigan, out of state and out of country. I think the diversity is amazing here.

Are you involved with any other extracurriculars at MSU? I play club volleyball here. It’s my third year.

If you could meet any celebrity who would it be and why? If I could meet anyone it would be Ellen DeGeneres because she is a very inspiring person and her reputation in the world is outstanding.

When did you start at MIPA? I started at MIPA fall semester 2016.

How did you hear about MIPA? I did a lot of work for the yearbook in high school. My high school teacher recommended me to MIPA.

What has been the most challenging thing you have faced while working at MIPA? The most challenging thing has been the fall conference. It was really hectic. Trying to figure out how to deal with the money is also pretty challenging.

What do you like most about your job at MIPA? I like the environment and the work that we do. I also really enjoy being able to follow up with photography. I get to work a camera and I like that.

What is your favorite hobby outside of MIPA? My favorite hobby is photography. I have been doing photography since my sophomore year of high school, so four or five years.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I really enjoy indie and alternative music, but I also dabble in hip-hop.

Favorite food? My favorite place to eat is probably anywhere that has good mac and cheese.

What are your thoughts on Remington? I have only met him once — super cute, though. Most essential part of the office.

What has been your favorite thing about MSU? My favorite thing about MSU is the campus. It is amazing and I like the diversity.

If you could meet any celebrity who would it be and why? I would meet Leonardo Dicaprio because he is the man.

When did you start at MIPA? I started at MIPA at the beginning of the fall semester in September.

How did you hear about MIPA? I attended the summer workshop and conferences when I was in high school. After I graduated I began to work for the summer workshop each year. Once I transferred from Lansing Community College to MSU I knew that I had to start bugging Jeremy for a job. Everything just kind of worked out.

What has been the most challenging thing you have faced while working at MIPA? The most challenging thing about working for MIPA is resisting the urge to steal Jeremy’s dog, Remington.

What do you like most about your job at MIPA? I love being able to work with all of the talented journalists, advisers, speakers and students. I have always been a huge journalism nerd and MIPA let’s me be free.

What is your favorite hobby outside of MIPA? I enjoy attending concerts and comedy shows in my free time.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I like everything from Hamilton to Kanye West to The Beatles to Cage the Elephant. My favorite musical artist is Cage the Elephant.

Favorite thing to eat? I love deep dish pizza, especially from Chicago.

What are your thoughts on Remington? Remington is the greatest thing to have ever happened. 

What has been your favorite thing about MSU? I love all of the opportunities MSU provides. I also love all of the talented professors MSU has.

Are you involved with any other extracurriculars at MSU? I am a features reporter at The State News. I also work for a program called Media Sandbox where I run a creative column/blog.

If you could meet any celebrity who would it be and why? I would meet Conan O’Brien because he is my biggest inspiration.
