Lansing Center Parking for 2025
Beginning with the 2025 Fall Conference, MIPA will provide parking at no additional charge for school groups as follows: 1 motorcoach or 1 school bus (schools that fill more than 1 bus with attendees may request additional parking by contacting the MIPA office) or 1 passenger car/van per 7 registrations, up to 7 parking vouchers. Advance registration for motorcoach parking is required.

Information for Passenger Cars and Vans
If you drive, parking for cars and vans is available beneath the Lansing Center. Rate: $3 per hour/$15 daily maximum. Credit cards are accepted at the exits. Pay-on-foot machines in the lobby of the Lansing Center and on the parking level accept cash, coupons or credit card payments. Parking is provided at no additional cost for school programs that meet our registration minimums. Bring your parking stub to the registration desk at check in for a validation coupon.
Overflow parking is available in the nearby North Grand Parking Ramp, which is connected to the Lansing Center on the third level by a pedestrian bridge over the Grand River. Rate: $1.50 per half hour/$15 daily maximum.
Street parking also is available throughout downtown Lansing.
Please Note: The city of Lansing may change parking rates without notice to MIPA.
Information for Buses
Buses should drop students off in front of the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave. in downtown Lansing. Spaces in front of the conference center have been reserved as a loading/unloading zone.
School Buses
School bus parking on site is $30. School bus parking fees are payable to MIPA. Parking lot attendants do not accept payment. Parking for 1 school bus is provided at no additional cost for school programs that meet our registration minimums.
School buses may park in Lot 37, north of the Lansing Center along Cedar Street. After dropping students at the Lansing Center front door on Michigan Avenue, drivers should proceed around the block (Michigan to Grand Avenue to Shiawassee Street to Cedar Street) to access parking. Cedar Street is one-way, southbound.
Motorcoaches
Motorcoaches are too big to fit into Lansing Center lots. MIPA can arrange for street parking in reserved spaces on Michigan Avenue in front of the Lansing Center or the adjacent Jackson Field minor league ballpark. Please purchase at least one week prior to the event. Rate: $40 Parking for 1 motorcoach is provided at no additional cost for school programs that meet our registration minimums.
