Description
Nonprofit educational programs, including student media and journalism programs, are invited to be exhibitors at the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association Fall Conference in October. MIPA provides exhibitor table space at cost for these programs. For-profit entities may pay to reserve a table in our vendor area.
This exhibitor display package includes:
- 1 6-foot table
- 1 event parking pass
- 1 Associate Membership in MIPA for your organization
Please note: Tables do not include electrical power, and public WiFi access is not available within the convention center. Exhibitor table reservation does not include admission to the Adviser Luncheon. A variety of restaurant options are close to the convention center or you may purchase tickets for the Adviser Luncheon.
Nonprofit Program Exhibitor Information
Exhibitors usually are busiest during attendee registration, which runs from 8-9 a.m., and typically close down by lunch (about 11:30 a.m.) — although exhibitors are welcome to stay until the end of our event.
Exhibitors areas will open for setup no later than 7:30 a.m. the day of event. Nonprofit exhibitor tables are located INSIDE the exhibit hall, with registration and MIPA Consultations. (Tables in the Main Concourse are reserved for our corporate exhibitors and sponsors.) Tables are assigned by MIPA.
Order Special Services from the Lansing Center
Exhibitors needing special services – including WiFi, audio/visual or other equipment, setup assistance or electrical service – should make arrangements directly with the Lansing Center. Visit the Lansing Center exhibitor information page and click “order services.” Prices are set by the Lansing Center. Per Lansing Center rules, vendors are not permitted to plug into the venue’s wall outlets with their own cords.
Submit a Session Proposal!
We encourage sponsors and vendors to submit proposals for sessions. Please note that not all proposed sessions will be selected for the schedule. Sessions must be educational in nature and must be applicable to all attendees regardless of whether their school is a customer of the vendor. Sessions may not be used to directly promote the vendor’s services (beyond providing basic background information about the speaker and inviting attendees to the vendor’s booth). Vendors are encouraged to work with each other to propose joint sessions. Vendors selected to present a session who do not follow the spirit of these standards will not be allowed to return to MIPA events.
