Description
Reach the state’s largest single audience of scholastic journalism students and their teachers by having an exhibitor table at MIPA’s Fall Conference in October at the Lansing Center. Up to 2,000 high school (and some middle school) students and their advisers typically attend our annual event. MIPA offers a special exhibitor package for nonprofit educational programs.
MIPA is pleased to welcome vendors and other exhibitors as sponsors to our Fall Conference in October at the Lansing Center. Our exhibitor display package, which may be reserved for $250, includes:
- 1 6-foot table
- 1 event parking pass
Please note: Tables do not include electrical power, and public WiFi access is not available within the convention center. Exhibitor table reservation does not include admission to the Adviser Luncheon. A variety of restaurant options are close to the convention center or you may purchase tickets for the Adviser Luncheon.
Exhibitor Information
Vendors usually are busiest during attendee registration, which runs from 8-9 a.m., and typically close down by lunch (about 11:30 a.m.) — although vendors are welcome to stay until the end of our event.
The exhibit area will open for setup no later than 7:30 a.m. the day of event. Exhibit tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tables for our for-profit vendors are located in the Main Concourse.
Order Special Services from the Lansing Center
Exhibitors needing special services – including WiFi, audio/visual or other equipment, setup assistance or electrical service – should make arrangements directly with the Lansing Center. Visit the Lansing Center exhibitor information page and click “order services.” Prices are set by the Lansing Center. Per Lansing Center rules, vendors are not permitted to plug into the venue’s wall outlets with their own cords.
Submit a Session Proposal!
We encourage sponsors and vendors to submit proposals for sessions. Please note that not all proposed sessions will be selected for the schedule. Sessions must be educational in nature and must be applicable to all attendees regardless of whether their school is a customer of the vendor. Sessions may not be used to directly promote the vendor’s services (beyond providing basic background information about the speaker and inviting attendees to the vendor’s booth). Vendors are encouraged to work with each other to propose joint sessions. Vendors selected to present a session who do not follow the spirit of these standards will not be allowed to return to MIPA events.
