Each fall, the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association welcomes hundreds of middle and high school journalists (and their teachers!) to our Fall Conference. Join us at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing for a day to help you improve your school-sponsored media program and explore journalism.

Our breakout session format allows you to hone your skills in writing, editing, photography, broadcast, film, yearbook, design, social media AND MORE! Up to 14 different sessions will run during each breakout time session.

With degrees in Journalism and Digital Storytelling, the School of Journalism at Michigan State University prepares undergraduate students for a career in a media-focused world. Now in our 168th year, The Argus-Press is a daily newspaper based in Owosso, which also provides printing services for both school-based and traditional news publications. We have been serving MIPA members since 2003 and have worked with well over 100 schools in that time frame. We offer quick turnaround on your newspaper and a strong dedication to customer service. Tom Campbell is the fourth generation publisher / owner. MIPA Consultations & Critiques
Sit down with one of our coaches to do a critique of your media program’s recent work, to talk through your plans for the year or to get another perspective on a project.
Bring copies of your newspaper, current yearbook work or a flash drive of your video production to discuss with a media professional or with an adviser who has built a reputation of excellence in scholastic journalism. Critiques are scheduled by appointment. Please note: WiFi may not be available in the consultation area.

MIPA Fall Conference Student Support Fund
Help students in need attend this MIPA event by making a contribution to our Student Support Fund.
If your program needs financial assistance to participate in this event, MIPA may be able to help. We’ve established a support fund to offer reduced price or free access to MIPA member programs in financial need. Learn more
